Refund policy
By organizing the shipment of your order, Old Woodward Cellar is providing a service and arranging for a common carrier on your behalf. By using this service, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to adhere to local regulations and tax requirements. As the buyer, you agree to ensure compliance with all laws concerning the importation of alcohol into your state.
Ownership of all alcoholic beverages transfers to you, the buyer, in the State of Michigan, which is why Michigan sales tax is applied to your order.
An adult of at least 21 years of age must be present to accept and sign for the delivery.
Once the goods leave our premises, you assume full responsibility for the shipment of alcohol and any potential loss or damage. By placing an order, you authorize Old Woodward Cellar to engage a common carrier to deliver your order, and you acknowledge that Old Woodward Cellar is not liable for the condition of your package upon delivery. If your package is damaged during transit, we can assist you in contacting UPS for reimbursement, but the carrier (UPS) holds the responsibility for this reimbursement.
We recommend against shipping wine orders during extreme temperature periods. We are happy to hold your shipments during these times, but it is your responsibility to provide instructions in the "order comments" section at checkout or to contact us with specific directions. If no instructions are given, we will ship your package immediately. During the hottest and coldest months, we may automatically hold shipments due to extreme temperatures and will contact you once your order is placed.
UPS will provide you with tracking details, shipping date, and anticipated delivery date on the day your order is shipped.
Please note that processing orders for shipping may take up to 48 hours. Consider this timeframe when choosing Express and Overnight shipping options. Orders with “Ground Shipping” placed after 12pm on Wednesdays will be shipped the following Monday to avoid weekend storage at UPS facilities, which may not have ideal conditions.

Cancellation Policy Orders can be canceled within 10 days of placement and before shipment. A 10% restocking fee applies to all cancellations unless the error is on our part. This fee offsets the costs associated with the financial impact of returning sales. Once your card is charged, the order is reserved for you. Canceling a processed order incurs charges from your credit card provider for both transactions, which is why the restocking fee is strictly enforced. If your credit card has not been charged, you may cancel without incurring this fee.
